First grade

Second grade
Units on plants, insects, animals, environment and ecology, simple machines, weather, sounds, our bodies, food groups, safety and manners, D.A.R.E.

Third grade
A study of the five senses, plants, vertebrates and invertebrates. Also explores the desert, ocean, pond, forest, farmer’s field, and weather. An animal classification notebook is required and a research paper on an ocean animal.

Fourth grade
Orderliness of God’s creation; biology-insects and birds; physiology; energy-sound and hearing; geology, oceanography; astronomy.

Fifth grade
Insects-bees, bugs, food chain, beetles, flowers; Mammals-carnivores, insectivores, herbivores; Light-reflection, refraction, spectrum, eyes; Geology-rocks, minerals, fossils; Sea-tides, shells, sea creatures; Engines-force, work, energy; Sky-stars, sun, planets, air clouds, atmosphere, weather; Vertebrates-classifications of animals; Inventions and Inventor Report.

Sixth grade
Plate tectonics, shaping earth’s surface, earth’s waters, weather, ecology and resources.
