Kindergarten
Kindergartners will learn about the following: Qtr. I-Seven days of creation; Qtr. II-What a choice is and how it affects our lives; Qtr. III- Jesus is the Son of God; Qtr. IV-Jesus is our example and we need to make choices to please God.
First grade
First graders review the creation of the world, the first sin, Noah, Joseph and his brothers, Jesus’ birth, Jesus’ ministry on the earth, and the Beatitudes. The concepts taught are memory verses, Bible stories, Bible songs and application of Bible truths to each child’s life.
Second grade
Second grade uses a large print NIV Bible. The concepts taught are memory verses, Bible stories, songs, application of Bible truths to child’s life, life of Moses, The Ten Commandments, journey to the Promised Land, life of Jesus, The Great Commandment, and freedom and service to others through obedience.
Third grade
Third grade theme is “The God of Choices.” First semester covers the Old Testament; deals with important choices made by Deborah, Gideon, Samson, Ruth, Samuel, King Saul and David. Second semester covers Jesus’ life and studies the book of Acts. Weekly memory verses are learned. Bible time is four days a week with the fifth day reserved for chapel.
Fourth grade
This curriculum features not only the beloved inspirational stories of Bible heroes, but it also highlights current, well-respected Christian personalities who are continuing to carry out our Lord’s “Great Commission”. Students will be challenged to make godly choices in their lives. Students will study the ways God’s leaders acted in history, God’s purposes in history, Paul’s mission to spread the Good News and God’s desire for all to take part in sharing the Good News.
Fifth grade
The first semester covers the Old Testament that includes characters such as Ezekiel, Daniel, Esther, Haggai, Zechariah, Ezra, Nehemiah, Malachi, and Job. The second semester covers the New Testament. Parables from the books of Romans, Galatians, Hebrews, I and II Peter, and Jude are studies. The prophecies and fulfillments of Jesus are researched. Students are challenged in their personal faith. Weekly memory verses are learned as well as the books of the Bible. Bible time is four days a week with the fifth day reserved for chapel.
Sixth grade
Book Studies: I and II Timothy, Titus, James, I Peter, I, II, and III John, Revelation. Topical Studies: how to know the Bible is real; studying the Bible; denominations; Jesus never changes; Heaven and hell; godliness; self-esteem.
