Technology can provide conduits to new information, new experiences, and an opportunity to experiment. Using new devices, students can utilize technology as mechanisms for learning. God has commanded His children to seek knowledge and to obtain wisdom. Utilizing technological tools to master extensive fields of knowledge, students must remember that the beginning of wisdom is the fear of the Lord.
As a telecommunications device, the computer can be used for evangelistic purposes. Matthew 28:19, 20 calls us to “Go into all of the world and preach the gospel.” Christians should be on the cutting edge of technology to use the tools that are available to advance the kingdom of God. Utilizing videos to share the good news, email to evangelize to a friend, and downloading scripture and Biblical information are just a few ways that students can work to accomplish God’s will for salvation for all.
