First grade
Printing neatness and formation are reinforced; cursive writing.


Second grade
Printing neatness and formation are reinforced; cursive writing.


Third grade
Cursive handwriting. Children practice their cursive skills by writing Bible verses that apply to everyday living.


Fourth grade
Construction of letters and connecting strokes, daily practice/weekly tests (good for tackling copying skills).


Fifth grade
Daily cursive practice includes correct posture, formation, spacing, letter size, slant, and proportion, as well as overall neatness.
