Children are born with the potential to be musical and learn through movement. The early years are an optimal window for nurturing that potential. We offer the children daily opportunities in music to allow for self-expression, listening, exploring rhythm and sound, and following directions.
Every child deserves to be physically fit and to achieve self-awareness for good healthy habits. Physical Education is provided weekly as part of a child’s foundation for a long healthy life. Helping children adopt an active lifestyle early will have a tremendous impact on their physical, emotional, and intellectual development.
Sensory experiences are comforting and soothing for children at all developmental levels. Manipulating different textures and materials strengthens hand-eye coordination as well as fine and gross motor skills. Sensory opportunities are the starting point for many academic areas such as writing, math, and science.
Blocks allow the children to construct and create. When children use blocks they learn many kinds of intellectual and social skills, from vocabulary and mathematical thinking to goal-setting and cooperation.
