Eating together provides an opportunity to promote good health, manners, and friendship. Children are exposed to a positive experience that emphasizes the importance of nutrition and healthy eating habits.
A morning and afternoon snack are served daily. Each snack consists of a minimum of two food groups. Children bring their lunch or a hot lunch option is provided daily through the cafeteria.
Sleep is a major requirement for good health. Infant sleeping schedules are determined by their needs. For young children to get enough sleep, some amount of daytime sleep is usually necessary. Therefore, a two hour naptime is provided. With physical and mental development at an all-time high in early childhood, naps provide the body with much needed downtime for growth and rejuvenation.
During diapering, children are treated with respect and gentleness. Staff uses this as a bonding time, interacting with the child while changing their diaper. This creates an environment of love and trust for the child.
When children are potty training staff use the techniques that parents are using to achieve success. Staff focuses on meeting each child's needs on an individual basis.
When children are using the restroom staff are attentive and aware of what each child's individual needs and habits are.
