No ECS student, staff, or family member had been identified to be infected with the coronavirus; however, the threat of the coronavirus and the danger it poses on our students and families required us to take precautions; subsequently, as other local schools and districts have decided, we also closed our school campus beginning March 16th and moved to an online platform. Our plan was to self quarantine for 2 weeks and come back to school after our spring break on March 30. Everything took a drastic turn as the coronavirus spread faster than expected, so our school decided to close until April 3rd. Shortly after the decision, the department of education, with the advisement of the CDC, announced that students would not be able to return for the rest of the school year. Though it has been a unique experience, our students were able to keep connected to our staff and other students by engaging in a full day instructional program. We have had to make adjustments constantly with these uncertain times, but we have peace knowing that God is in control. Stay safe and healthy. See you all in August!
