The mission of Eastside Christian Schools is to develop well-rounded, caring community leaders with academic integrity, in a nurturing, Christian environment.
Vision Statement
ECS strives to instill in students:
- Faith in the Living God moves us toward compassion and respect for diversity in ethnic, cultural, and economic backgrounds;
- The importance of service in the name of Christ;
- Academics sufficient to prepare all students to excel in college and careers of their choosing;
- Leadership that is effective, sacrificial, and honoring to God.
Philosophy
The educational philosophy of ECS is based on a God-centered view that all truth is God's truth and that the Bible is the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. God created all things and sustains all things. Therefore, the universe and man are dynamically related to God and have the purpose of glorifying Him.
We aim to provide a Christian perspective to help students develop a proper understanding of their role in life while remaining grounded in the Christian concept of love. With this understanding, the believers will value and participate in serving the local and global community sacrificially and meaningfully.
We maintain high academic standards while helping students achieve skills in creative and critical thinking. The objective of our educational program is to enable students to pursue post-secondary education, be that at a university, college, or vocational training program.
Our responsibility for students encompasses their spiritual, mental, intellectual, physical, social, and emotional well being. It is our responsibility to weave Biblical truths throughout all curricular areas. We shun the tendency to teach the Bible compartmentally or solely on an intellectual level. We believe in working closely with parents at every step of their child's development.
